コーヒー豆とカルロスゴーン

仕事中、忙しいとき、むしゃくしゃするとき、気合が入らないとき、よくコーヒーを飲みいつも本当に助けられてます。 休日の朝、お湯を沸かしてブラックコーヒーのドリップの香りとこんがり焼けたトーストとバターのにおいを感じたとき「ああ今日は休日なんだって」妙に幸せを感じます。

コーヒー豆もいろいろ種類がありますが、値段が高いからといって、ウマイってわけではないですね。どんなにおいしくても流通量が多い豆は安く叩かれるし、生産が少ないというだけで価格はあがるようです。

だから、おいしいコーヒーを一生懸命たくさん生産した農家が経済的な意味で評価を得られるとは限らないんですよね。

コーヒー豆の価格の評価の仕組みと、世の中の全般の原則は同じものだと思います。がんばっている人間がそのまま素直に評価されるわけではないし、力を抜いてやっているときに物事がうまく行くこともしばしば。人生は苦くて、時に甘くて面白い。余談ですが、僕は、ちょっと気取った高級モカマタリ豆なんかより、 安くてもいい味出してるブラジル豆の方が好きです。

去年末大きなニュースとなった元日産自動車のCEOであるカルロスゴーンの逃亡劇。彼の報酬は年間何十億円だったと言われています。日産自動車をV字回復させた彼の功績は確かに大きいのだろうと思いますが、その金銭的な価値が数十億なのかどうかは僕にはわかりません。

社長の報酬もコーヒー豆の価格も「仕組み」をうまく使って、知恵を使ったら経済的な成功は得られるのでしょう。
